5.5 editing issues

Permalink Browser Info Environment
Hello,

I ran into an issue this last week where in Concrete5.5 there was an issue when working with blocks.

I was able to fix the issue by changing the DOCTYPE declaration. Inside of /inc/top.php

Change
<!DOCTYPE html>

to
<!DOCTYPE html PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD XHTML 1.0 Transitional//EN" "http://www.w3.org/TR/xhtml1/DTD/xhtml1-transitional.dtd">

PS: I found this issue on several different themes.

Woah - do not change that at all. That's bad bad bad and will make a lot of the HTML tags act unnaturally.

That's a proper doctype for HTML5.

That's like telling a new mac to act like your 10 year old dell.

Please let me know what the issues are, but changing the doctype which will invalidate the entire theme should be avoided.
