Changing banner colour on Equinox theme

Permalink Browser Info Environment
I want to change the dark grey colour , almost black, on both sides of the banner-image in the middle.
I have tried to make a new block, but ain't qualified enough jet.
I want to override the css for the nav-block globally to get the right colour, but I don't know how.
How can I handle the problem?

Theme styles can be updated using the built in theme customiser.

Hello c5hub

I figured out with the background colour on the start page.

I have a new problem : I choosed a design with 3 columns, and it is messing around when I sign out and check it out in a normal browser (see the attached files).
When I go back to edit mode it looks allright again - WHY?

Do I something wrong ?
Do I have to do the columns in a specific order to make it functioning ?
Do I have to use CSS format ?
