Background video not loading in mobile chrome (Android)

Permalink Browser Info Environment
Playing around with the starting point provided by the theme installation it took me a while to realize there was no video supplied (might be a good idea to point that out or include the demo video)

After finding a usable small MP4 video this works fine for the desktop site so I tried using my Android smartphone to see how things look there and the video is not showing up and there is no fallback image shown (that might be an issue on my end (how do I set that image? is it created automatically?))

I'm using Google Chrome on my smartphone.

As soon as I select "Desktop page" it shows up on my smartphone as well. So definitely something wrong with it being mobile.

The same happens when I access the live demo site of the theme (but there it shows a fallback image).

If I reload the page, I see the first frame of the video show up very very briefly and then it goes to a blank page.

The URL to my installation is:https://kyudo.arsenal-of-wisdom.org...
Currently it's basically the demo page with a video I got from:

Hi,

Thanks for using my theme.

Yes, android and ios have disabled auto video playback on mobile a few years ago. I believe their reason is to prevent unwanted data usage when viewing sites with video.

As for the fallback, you can set it using page attributes. It can be found beside page_background attribute in the attributes panel when you enter settings.

I hope I was ae to address your questions correctly.

Thank you for your prompt reply. I just have found time to try it again and I've also seen the Force Android Video BG attribute.

So both work, I can have a nice fallback background and a video on Android using that checkbox. I haven't realized that I can add the attributes from the left side - just shows how much of a noob I am when it comes to concrete5.
