Little white arrow
Permalink Browser Info Environment
Hi James - it's me again. ;D
1. When changing the background colour of the mid-section of the homepage, the little "arrow down" at the bottom remains white. Will I need to adjust the css once I have decided on the background color?
2. I need to make some changes to the page_theme.php (add redactor classes) and add a custom page template. Where do I need to put these files to keep them from beeing overriden by the next update? (This may seem a very rudimentary question - but as I am about to start yet another project - and I would love to use Framework as a basis again - I need some help with this,... Until today I have concretized HTML5 templates ...)

Hi James, tx for your speedy reply. That is no problem ;D -
Just one more question as for moving the theme out of the package folder: Where do I need to change the namespacing? page_theme.php and theme controller?

HI Bet,
Please disregards my previous advice. I mind was still wrapped around concrete 5.6 and how I created themes outside of the package and importing it with a controller afterwards. Sorry about that.
The way I see it is to do your changes to the package directory where the theme resides and when you want to update, you can download the update manually, through the archive, and overwrite the parts without touching your edited files.
I'll still look for a more elegant solution and let you know if I find one.
Kind regards,
James

I have been adding css changes successfully in the theme design edit area - specifically at the bottom of that long list. I believe it is called "custom css" .
In this way I have even added fonts without touching the theme files and having to worry about the updates.
Any thoughts or concerns - I would be interested to hear

Hi Arlene,
That is the right way of doing it. Updates will not override your changes.

James

I apologise for overlooking the arrow color customization. Totally my fault. I will address this issue on my next update but for now you can use this css and add this to settings -> design -> customization -> custom css:
As for updates overwriting the theme, the way I usually do it is move c5box_framework outside of the package directory and into the themes directory on the root applications folder. And when there is an update, download the update and you manually overwrite the theme folder files while making sure the files you modified are not included.
I hope this made sense. Please let me know if need to clarify anything. If you need help with anything else, don't hesitate to ask.
Kind regards,
James
