Blank Site

Permalink Browser Info Environment
After installation and applying the theme to the site, all of the public view pages are blank with no c5 edit bar. System and dashboard area still functions as normal. Cleared cache several times, tried in a variety of browsers, etc.

Suggestions?

Hi, I am having the same problem. A couple times I ended up getting a memory allocation message, but I don't seem to be able to reproduce it at this point.

Was trying some things, turning off cache etc.
Re-activated the theme. Returned to site. It was blank. Clicked refresh twice. The second time I got the following message:

An unexpected error occurred.
Allowed memory size of 33554432 bytes exhausted (tried to allocate 115860 bytes)
< Back to Home

and there is a dot and small Concrete5 logo in the top left corner of the page

Clicking the Back to Home or Refresh does nothing and I am left with the error message.

Maybe this helps track it down.

Thanks,
Ian

So in a blank website I added a page off my home page. I then changed the theme for that page to Fruitful. The page was blank with the error message again. Going into the sitemap and changing the Design for that page back to Elemental the page remained broken.

To get the page back I had to activate Fruitful and then Elemental again, applying to all pages, and then could view the page.

Okay so I reinstalled the site without data and without Fruitful... did some editing, added some pages, set up an autonav... blank pages.

View source shows the first six lines to "bootstrap-modified.css"

tried mozilla on a different computer and got:

An unexpected error occurred.
Allowed memory size of 33554432 bytes exhausted (tried to allocate 196608 bytes)

so maybe this isn't a theme error as such but a Concrete5 one...

signed...
more puzzled than ever.

From what I'm seeing, something is happening at some point with parsing the LESS file. For some reason it goes through the elemental theme's less just fine. Investigating...

Are you familiar with editing the theme files at all? If so see if moving the less include to above the header_required line.

No difference. Blank site or error of memory allocation.

I'm having the same problem. Hope you've had time since Nov 15 to solve this one.

When using the Fruitful theme, the page displays as blank, though view source displays some content. But the browser display is blank. Switching to the default theme does show content and the editing icons.

You're welcome to log in and look around if you like, before I wipe it out and install the previous version just to avoid scaling the learning curve just now.

You can send me a link, but I'm honestly not sure what the deal is. I don't know if it's an environment thing or not, but no one here can recreate this issue :/

I too are having this issue .. installed on concrete 5 v 5.7.3.1

was working fine - downloaded and installed as requested - watched the video
and started playing around adding logo, searh and autonav etc, no content ... was working for about 5 minutes ,,, now just a blank site.

if i view source on the page .. it stop's when it calls the iGotStyle.less

from this point i could be wrong ... but stripping out the @import "bootstrap.less"; and adding as a seperate line in the header document like
<?php echo $html->css($view->getStylesheet('bootstrap.less')); ?>
<?php echo $html->css($view->getStylesheet('iGotStyle.less')); ?>

it stopped on the bootstrap file ...

I've attached the environment file for details ...

any idea's on what to look at would be greatly appreciated

Any news about ?

i have the same issue with error 500 and in the logs the following text:

Mon Feb 09 12:04:14 2015] [error] PHP Fatal error: Allowed memory size of 134217728 bytes exhausted (tried to allocate 80 bytes) in /html/application/files/cache/lessphp_9g7fbs9feeko8k0wow0soc8sccwkowc.lesscache on line 8

it's new install on new and blank C5.7.2.1, with all cache settings on OFF.

ok so i followed the installation to the letter ... and saw that other users have installed with no issues ... for dev it's recommended to cache to be off ... but live to be on ... the difference when i thought about my installation ... cache was on for the first part ... and it stopped working after cache was turned off ....

this theme works with the cache settings on ON.

please try this .. as it might solve all the issues. :)

Fruitful v1.1.1 on concrete versions 5.7.2+ (tested upto v5.7.3.1)

Just remember to clear cache often (on browser and concrete5 site)... as development with cache on can cause things to look really odd.

I don't think this issue is theme based, but if anyone else has an idea be great to know.

I am having the same issue, Elemental loads fine, when I turned to Fruitful the dashboard works fine but the edit mode shows and empty page with no C5 toolbar...
Any help?
Thanks!

I was discouraged by the learning curve of the latest 5.7 release, and support for a free theme, so replaced it with the familiar 5.6 version and bought theme Gratitude. I had a site up in a reasonable time, and hope to tackle 5.7 as more themes become available.

Ok, I finally figured it out. The problem is the php ram memory limit. I settled it to 128Mb and now everything works properly...
