An unexpected error occurred. Call to a member function getPageTypeHandle() on a non-object

Permalink Browser Info Environment
Completely stuck. I installed Fundamental With NY Starting Point and your default content. I changed the Starting Point to Arizona on the Home page and selected for it to be applied everywhere. Then - it broke.

Forgot. I'm running a fresh install of concrete5.7.5.6 Fundamental was installed through the interface. It seems to work fine until I changed from NY to Arizona. No content updated in it yet.

When you say changed the starting point, assuming you mean 'preset' as you can not change the starting point as such...

If it was indeed the preset that you changed then this could potentially be a memory issue at your host. Do you know what your php memory_limit is, you did not attach your environment info so we can not see.

Worked around it. Went directly to index.php/login Then I changed the page template and page type and it fixed the error.

Odd...

OK great - sounds like the page types had become unsynced - glad you found a fix.
