Problem with Background setup
Permalink Browser Info Environment
Hello
I love your the Fundamental Theme. Thanks for it! I have just one problem - its quite urgent, because I need to publish the page in the next 2-3 days...
At the moment I am struggling to set up the background. I am using the arizona preset. My problem is, that instead of having the background image nicely in the top part of the page (as inhttp://arizona.c5hub.com/about for example) it goes below, also into the main part of the page. Have tried to change the setting but somehow I am stuck (I tested the issue on another installation, where I also bought the theme and have the same behaviour there)
Could you please tell me how to set the page up, so that the background image is only displayed on the top, as in your arizona example?
Thanks!
Best Regards,
Daniel

Yes, it sound like you need to set a BG color for your main section so that the background image does not show through...
Hi
Thanks for your answers. I tried it out, but with no sucess. I'm currently working with an adapted Arizona preset. There I set the Body background image (as in the original) to be like this:
// Body
@body-width-size: 68.75rem;
@body-text-type-color: #222222;
@body-text-type-font-size: 18px;
@body-text-type-font-weight: 400;
@body-text-type-font-family: 'Cabin';
@body-text-type-line-height: 28px;
@body-text-type-text-transform: none;
@body-background-color: #FFFFFF;
@body-background-image: '../images/pattern.png';
@body-padding-top-size: 0;
@body-padding-bottom-size: 0;
I tested it out that the Main-Background is the one that needs to change. But somehow it is inherting it from main. Trying to change it, by setting the settings in the preset has no effect (even with a white background image):
// Main
@main-background-color: #FFFFFF;
@main-background-image: '../images/pattern_whiteoverride.png';
@main-margin-top-size: 20px;
@main-margin-bottom-size: 20px;
@main-padding-top-size: 20px;
@main-padding-bottom-size: 20px;
@main-shadow-horizontal-size: 0px;
@main-shadow-vertical-size: 0px;
@main-shadow-blur-size: 3px;
@main-shadow-spread-size: 0px;
@main-shadow-color: rgba(0,0,0,0.001);
Trying to change it with a manually custom setting, did not make a change either...
Have no clue, what the problem is. I cleared the cache several times also...

Is your website publicly accessible? Would you mind providing a link?
yes of course - my only problem is that the link gets categorized as inappropiate content...
Have to place it as a picture... or just copy this link and remove the dots between the f.e.g
http://f.e.g-connect.ch

or just use this redirect:http://yep.it/onhbmg
By the way: the f-e-g is a abreviation for a Church - nothing bad about it ;-)

Hi
Well, the Starting page looks fine, because there I am actually not using the default background function of the theme, but a background image addon that switches the top images.
Just switch to one of the other sub-pages. There you will see, that the image goes as far as the size of the image is, not as it is for example inhttp://arizona.c5hub.com/about
Best Regards,
Daniel

Hi cjks,
Are you placing ll your content into a footer block instead of a main area block? It looks to me like you might be. If you are, adjusting the background for the main body will not effect your footer. When I add a white background to your sticky-foot it applies to the calendar and angebote pages. See my attached images to see what I am seeing.
If you are using your upper-footer as the content area accidentally you could move them up into the main area. If you are using the upper-footer on purpose, try adding a white background for that instead.
Sorry for my delay. I'm just a guy help another out. I may be available for another could hours from now.

nop - Everything is placed in the main area...
Sorry for my typos before I was on a phone.
I don't know what the issue is. Everything seems to lay out on my end like I think you are wanting on with and upper-footer background color. If you are in a main area then you will need to wait for support to help you out.
Sorry I can't do more.

Have you attempted to set a specific color in the design interface for your site (gear at top left > design > customize)?
You might want to try picking a background color for "main" and/or "body" and see if that helps you with what you are looking for.
