Quick Start - California
Permalink Browser Info Environment
I just purchased and installed Fundamental and chose to install the "California" Quick start. However, none of the content files seem to have been installed. Am I missing something? Is there another step I should have done?
Thanks!

Yes, I've deleted and re-installed as well as clear both browser and site cache. Didn't help. There were no errors on installation either time.
I've just PM'd you a login. Thanks!

Thanks for the login. We have logged in and tried to uninstall and reinstall the theme without luck. May I ask, have you manually uploaded the fundamental package to your server or is it connected to the marketplace. You have an outdated version 2.0.1, the latest version is 2.0.3.
If you have uploaded manually then please ensure all files have been properly uploaded and that you are running the latest version.

I got it through the Marketplace and installed it from there. Did not manually install. Should I?
Installing through the marketplace is fine and probably the suggested way of doing it. As the site is connected to the marketplace there should be a link to upgrade the theme to the latest version but I can not see it currently. I will take an other look at it and then let you know the outcome later on.

I have just realised, only the root admin can install the sample content, so I could not do it with the log in you gave me. Is the account you are logging in with the root admin user?
Thanks
Thanks
I've been trying to get back in to check, but now whenever I try to visit the site I get only a blank page and can't log in or anything. Any chance you changed or deleted anything while you were in there? Not accusing, just asking cuz I'm locked out. thx
It is because there is no theme selected. Simply navigate to your URL with /index.php/login on the end and you can log back in. Let me know how you get on.
Got it. Thanks.
I've deleted and reinstalled a couple of times again with my root account, as you suggested. Didn't help. Also, it installed 2.01 again and when I go to Update, it shows no updates available. Can I update to 2.03 and install the starting points manually? I've spent all day on this and I need to get to work on the site. Thx

Hi
I just bought the Fundamental Theme and it is also just version 2.0.1. I would like to use the starting point Arizona which doesn't exist yet in 2.0.1.
Please provide the correct version of the theme in the Marketplace. Thanks.

There looks like there has been a version issue on concrete5. Hoping this has now been resolve and the latest version should be avaialble... (2.0.3).
Please let me know if this is resolved. Thanks

OK. Re-installed again. Got 2.03 this time. No quick start content see attached image. After several hours of messing with this, I'm really getting frustrated. What should I do now?
This is most odd. This is installed in hundreds of sites without issue... I have uploaded a video to YouTube so you can see the process I went through here -http://youtu.be/uvL84IRP5Vg as you can see it works perfectly.
Are you sure that you have root user access i.e. your username is ID 1. Would you be willing to change your password temporarily and then give me access to your root admin account so I can check if the install will work. You can then change the password back.
I have never seen this issue before.

Hah! I'm a trailblazer! :) Sure, I'd be happy to. Will PM you right now.
Thanks, will look out for it. Cheers
Logged in to the site and when I go to the 'Extend concrete5' page and then click insatll next to Fundamental, the install screen is missing the thumbnails of the starting points... these images are in the same folder as the actual starting points content.xml, so I am starting to think you do not have all of the files for some reason.
The package files for example should be...
Could you check via FTP whether you do have those files? Can not see any other issue this could be...

Have the content for California and Oregon. Missing Arizona, which is the one I think I'd like now. Screen shots attached.
Should I just start all over?
Should I just start all over?
Looks like you are missing quite a few files there.. see screen shot...
content.xml, description.txt, thumbnail.png etc
If it was me, I would consider starting again as something has clearly gone wrong somewhere in your installation.
Cheers

Spent some time with the support for my web host and they said that according to their logs, the installer was quitting before it finished. Some sort of problem between the installer and Apache. What do you think? Also, they suggested I change my version of php, currently 5.3, to another version. Could that be the problem?
Upgrading your PHP version is certainly worth a try. Are you still missing files from your Fundamental package?
Can you locate this file...
This is essential for the starting point to run.
Thanks

OK. I just switched from php 5.3 to 5.4 and then re-installed Fundamental. Everything worked this time, so I guess that was the problem. Anyway, looking forward to working with the theme. Thanks!
OK great news!
Got 2.0.3 now and installed it without a problem. Thanks.
That is great news, sorry for the inconvenience.
Couple if things to try
Have you tried clearing your site and browser cache?
Have you uninstalled and then re-installed the Fundamental theme package?
Do you get any errors once the install has completed?
Failing the above - could you provide us with a URL and then private message us a log in so we may take a look please?
Thanks
