Are you saying we have to buy your theme again just to get the updated version?
Type: | Pre-Sale |

Status: | In Progress |
What can it do that your old version can’t? Specifically for a site like thishttp://www.getmorecommerce.com/new... <http://www.getmorecommerce.com/new>.
I’d be most interested in a transparent navigation, ken burns type effects on slide backgrounds, and the ability to add backgrounds to individual blocks inside of a stack. For instance right now I had to make the darker background behind the free consultation behind the form spread all the way across the page because their was no way to put it just behind the form and keep the form inside the same stack as the logo and the video button.
Let me know if the new version would accomplish any of that because if so I would definitely be interested.
Thank you.

Hi Joel,
the navbar background color and transparency can be changed using the Theme Customizer, so you can have a transparent navigation bar:
http://longstoryshort.15robots.com/demo-page...
In the concrete 5.7 version, it's also possible to add layouts within slides. Here are some screenshots so you can see:
http://concrete5.15robots.com/tutorials/getting-started-long-story-...
So now it's much easier to add different columns and blocks to each slide (without using stacks), and you can add backgrouds to columns and blocks within the slide very easily.
If you're interested, in a few weeks I plan to release a new one-page theme with some new features, such as background videos and background sliders (probably with ken burns transitions). I can send you a message when the new theme is available if you're interested.
Regards,
Jordi

Yes, the layouts are responsive.
Actually you can choose between two types of layout: Twitter Bootstrap (which is reponsive) or Free-From Layout (which is not).
I'll let you know when the new theme is available!

as you probably know, concrete 5.7 is almost a new platform. Themes and add-ons needed to be rewritten to work with 5.7. That's why there are even two separate marketplaces.
The theme has also changed a lot (it's pretty much a new theme rather than an update). It's not even possible to directly upgrade a site from Long Story Short Parallax for 5.6 to Long Story Short for 5.7, since both concrete5 and the theme work differently now.
Until 5.7, any update was available for free (you could update themes using the same license).
For 5.7, getting a new version of themes and add-ons means getting a new license. It's up to developers to offer an upgrade offer (many developers ask to repurchase the theme/add-on, some have not even ported their themes/addons to 5.7 because of the work involved).
I have a special offer for 5.6 users at $15 (which is the minimum for any transaction in the marketplace):
http://www.concrete5.org/offers/-/mjrk6c67iioj/...
Since the new theme has new features, and it's slightly more expensive, I think it's fair to offer a 50% off.
Also note that users get a new license and still hold the old one, that they can continue to use in another site.
Hope you understand my position,
Jordi
