Hi!
I noticed there was some discussion in the 5.6 marketplace for Long Story Short about your adding video to the background, or possibly as a slide. Are you still considering it?
Thanks

Hello Jordif
This is looking fantastic!
The project is still in planning, but I would love to use something like this for it (Dance Studio)
Great work - I will keep an eye on the marketplace site.
Thanks!
Arlene

Hi, i'm also interesting in using this. But does it have to be a Youtube video?
For example:
I edited a video of a guy biking down the road; it's like 20 seconds long. I want to use this video looping on the background of slide 1.
What's the best and easiest way to do this?
Thanks!

Hi!
right now, the background video block only works with Youtube videos.
I've been planning to add a Custom Template for the default Video Player block for some time. This way any mp4 file could be used as a video background.
Next week I'll try to release a new version of the theme with this option.
So if you're not in a hurry, I'd recommend wating until next week.
If you need to finish your project this week, then you'll need to upload your video to Youtune and use the Youtube Video Background block.
Regards,
Jordi

Hi!
When i think about it; the youtube feature may come in handy. Since its easy for the end user to relink the video. I'm just gonna display:none the controls in the bottom and done!

Hi Jordi,
Can you set the background video on slide 1 to lock in place and have the rest of the slides slide up over it?
Like the background slider shown here:

Hi!
If you're using the YOutube Background Video, you can try adding the following custom CSS:

Thanks for your interest.
The 5.7 version of the theme includes a Custom Template for the Youtube Video block that allows you to embed responsive videos.
Here's a quick demo:
http://longstoryshort.15robots.com/responsive-video...
In Slide 2 you can see a responsive video. In Slide 3 you can see a full-width video.
The 5.7 version of the theme also includes a new block for adding Youtube background videos. Here's the demo:

The block is already available when you install the theme, but I still haven't added this to the official documentation because it's pretty experimental and I still need to test it in different browsers and devices. However maybe you can have a look at the demo and see if it suits your needs.
Let me know if you have any other questions,
Jordi
