"flashing" of slideshow on load

used metris to build site for client.
when the site loads, the slideshow "flashes" very large and is distracting. the images for the slideshow are built to the exact specs of the sites' width, they aren't constrained.
Is there a remedy for this?

I'm having the same problem. The images I've inserted in the slideshow are huge.

Hi Helen,
We took care of this bug in the 1.2 update, Metris is now upto 1.5, so you may just need to update your theme, if you are running the most recent version and still having problems, please let me know, and send me a link to your site and I will take a look for you.

We are aware of this problem and are working on a fix, this will be included in the Metris 0.9.1 update, we will be issuing the update either later on today or Monday.
