site wide boxes displaying on white background

I am trying to display an image on a site wide box and whether I use that image as a jpeg, gif or png my background stays white. I want a transparent background so that I can place my logo on the page without the white background. You can see the duck image I'm working with on fastduckmotors.com, upper left hand corner.

You would need to remove the white background in the code, there is no option to make that area transparent.

enter your site files and go to:

packages > metris_theme > themes > metris_theme > styles.css

open up styles.css and on line 130 delete this piece of code:

.c5wrap #header_inner {
  /* customize_header_background */ background-color:#ffffff; /* customize_header_background */ 
}

then go to line 1587 you should see this line of code:

.c5wrap #header_inner
{
    max-width: 50%;
    min-width: 20%;
    margin: 10px 0px 10px 0px;
    padding: 10px;
    border: 1px solid #dddddd;
    min-height: 90px;
}

Delete the line that says "border: 1px solid #dddddd;" then save the file back to where it came from, clear your browser cache and Concrete5 cache and you should be good to go.
