Font Size - Where to update

Hi there. Can you tell me where I would be able to change the default font size and family for body text for the whole website?
I tried adding this to the theme CSS through the dashboard but it did not work.

font-size: 14px!important;
}

You could try adding any css to the themes main.css. Possibly within the body tag.
Please make sure you back up all files before making any changes to the themes core files. We can not support this type of customization I am afraid.
