New to Concrete5 and setting up a blog, I mistakenly deleted the blog - its "home page"/default page. I can get a blog entry.
Is there a way to get it back (it's not in the trash), or remake it?

Yes you just need to re-make it, follow these steps:
1/ Add a new page call it what you want, "Blog", "news" etc etc.
2/ On this new page in edit mode click on the main content area, and click "Add block"
3/ Select the page list block, and set it up as follows:
DISPLAY: however many pages you want on screen at the same time.
PAGES OF TYPE: Blog entry
LOCATION IN WEBSITE: Beneath this page
SORT PAGES: with most recent first
The other options that I skimmed over are up to your personal preference. then click save.
4/ While the page is still in edit mode, click on the page list you have just added, and from the menu select "custom template"
5/ choose either "Custom index" which has no thumbnails, or "Custom thumbnail" which does.
6/ Click save you are all done.
Hope that helps.
