Updating.

Permalink Browser Info Environment
Hi.

The last time I updated to the current version of Nova I lost all my custom settings. There is currently a newer version of the theme than the one I have. Is there anyway I can keep my custom settings intact while updating to the latest version?

Hi There,

No, you shouldn't lose any of your settings in either your theme or Concrete5. The only time you will lose stuff is if you have altered the actual theme files, then they will get overwritten by the update.

A pretty good explanation here:

https://www.concrete5.org/community/forums/chat/if-i-update-my-theme...

And a good how to, on forking your theme if you wish to make alterations to the source code of a packaged theme:
