Lack of support

MagsAtWcg
I disagree with the previous review. I have been waiting for 3 weeks for a response from Daniel. Sent 2 requests for support one week apart. After getting no response I asked for a refund and still no response. I purchased the theme in good faith, and bearing in mind that there is little or no documentation for the theme, you would think it reasonable that the author would be able to provide responses to queries. I have to say that I am sadly disappointed, not necessarily with the theme, but with the lack of documentation, and more importantly, lack of support. I cannot recommend this author, although that said, the theme would be great if the support was forthcoming

I appreciate your review, MagsAtWcg. My apology that you experienced such delays, especially in regards to your refund request. I attempt to keep up with as many support requests as I can. As I'm sure you can see, I responded to your original request to the best of my ability.

That said, I cannot fully promise to resolve requests that modify the theme in such ways that it may expand beyond the theme's original design. All features in the theme are designed to be easily configurable. Admittedly, the theme has a very specific design, and this, for better or worse, is part of its feature set.

Changes that go beyond this design may be need to be done by the client at the code level. Due to the obvious difficulty of this, I attempt to give specific and usable code snippets in support requests whenever I can.

Despite this caveat I've granted your refund request. Thank you for your business, and I'm sorry you had a bad experience.

Beautiful theme, solid support

Daniel has a winner here with Obsidian. I'm using C5 with this theme to more powerfully enhance a literary website I've had running since 1997, and Obsidian not only gives it new life but a crisp, professional feeling that my 14-year old site just couldn't muster (I'll Showcase the site when it's ready). Very easy to work with and a knockout visually.

UPDATE: Months later and I'm still thrilled with the Obsidian theme. But this added note is to commend Daniel's support for his product — it is really outstanding. I had questions about the theme's internal CSS working with C5's core CSS, and he walked me through every step, clearly and amicably. I'm not really a developer so this kind of support goes a long way with me.
