I am wondering if it would be possible to buy a few licences of the video/image slider only. I am looking for exactly that kind of slider to integrate into my custum-stitched theme.

The slider block which is installed as part of the theme is kind of intertwined into the theme and its areas, CSS, and JS. If you need to use it separately, you should make it compatible with your new theme.
