Slow website
Permalink Browser Info Environment
I have installed this theme on 3 subdomains for test and they are all right now terrible slow to load. Even adding a block takes a lot longer than my C5 5.6 version does. Why is it so painfully slow to edit and access. I am just worried that when I go live with it, the site will just crash from loading times. Even from my mobile, it's slower than what I am normally used to. Responsive? No. Can I possibly turn off any statistics or anything to make this site go faster. I've spent €17 on a database optimiser, but this just after a fresh install of C5 8.5.3 and Pixel 2! Any advise is much appreciated.

Thanks for the quick reply. I've enabled those things that you mentioned and its a bit faster but not a whole lot. Seriously, I wanted to use PHP7+ but my host threw me PHP5.6 as I have another super fast C5 5.6.4 site on it and thought it should be OK, even during the install of C5 8.5.2 it had accepted the PHP version I was on PHP5.6. I would have to trash 2 sites in order to be able to use the PHP7+ right, as the older (depreciated) super fast C5 5.6.4 sites I have are not compatible. Anyway any other tips in speeding up the site would be greatful.

And I suppose when you launch your website, the `Full Page Cache` will be on as well. So your site visitors will enjoy a bit of an extra speed boost in that area too.
