Two questions

Permalink Browser Info Environment
1. I have the photo slider on the front page but it doesn't show the entire photo. It seems like the next section covers the bottom two thirds of the photo.

2. Related is how do I add the main content and sidebar areas that you have on your demo site? Site is projectzed.com

I might be able to answer two questions with one answer :)

Go to your dashboard.
Pages & Themes
"Inspect" the theme Rigid - Bold

Install all the missing page types.

On your homepage, when it's in edit mode, click "design" change the page type to homepage. This will give you a larger area for the image.

Worked like a charm. Thanks for the quick reply - I am negligent in my thanks. I'm starting to get the feel for where concrete5 docs are etc so hopefully I can answer some of my own questions. Thanks again.

How do I install the missing "homepage" page type? I don't see it listed. I only have Blog, Full Width, Left, and Right.

You should be able to install the missing page types as I mentioned above.

Go to your dashboard.
Pages & Themes
"Inspect" the theme Rigid - Bold

Install all the missing page types.

Thanks, I missed that the first time. It is called Activate.

Activate and Inspect are two different things. Inspect will search for the missing/new page types. Activate will make that theme your default theme and apply it to all the pages.

Okay another dumb question. Where do I enter the text for the caption over the picture in the slider?
Vivid replied on at Permalink Reply

On the homepage, use the block "power slider". It will give you a place for each slide to enter text.

So you can only add the caption when you add the slider block? I already had the slider block installed and had to uninstall it to get the caption option. Am I missing something?

Yes, you use the "power slider" block. Attached is the screenshot of how it would work. Pretty straightforward.

I swear that the option to include an option wasn't there after I didn't add anything the first time. No matter - it is there now. http://www.projectzed.com a site in progress. Need to build a backend for applicants and opportunities next.
