Adjusting Navbar + Adding Language Bar
Permalink Browser Info Environment
Hello,
I would like to increase the size of the top navigation (for desktops, not the collapsed one) and make it about twice its original height. What files do I have to edit to accomplish that?
If I want to add another small bar on top of the navigation bar which contains a little language switcher and a search field, what do I have to do?
Thanks a lot in advance

Hey pilipala,
thanks a lot for the quick reply. I already managed to increase the navbar height ( I simply put all the code in main.less), but the problem is that the navbar overlaps the following content (like fivepints mentioned in his Question and showed in his screenshots). What do I have to alter in my CSS to move everything down the appropriate amount of pixels? Lets say I increased the Navbar Height from 60 to 80, where do I have to add the 20 extra pixels? I can’t seem to find an answer to my problem on my own.
Thanks again!

Your question about increasing the height of the navbar was answered in a previous support query. If you look at our answer here:
https://www.concrete5.org/marketplace/themes/salix1/support/logo-are...
you can find the CSS and the steps required to increase the height of the navbar.
In relation to your other question about adding another area above the navbar, I am afraid that is too complicated to explain quickly as a support query. This is a feature not included in the theme and would require theme customisation. We would be happy to give you a quote for the work, or you could post the job on the concrete5 jobs board. If you want to make the changes yourself, you would need to add some HTML and editable areas to the header.php and also make some changes to the CSS.
Thanks,
Jennifer
