Logo in header will not center

Permalink Browser Info Environment
I have added a logo to the site name block and the non-slate theme (home page) will center the image on the full page and mobile page but I cannot get the slate themes to center the logo on either platform. I have tried to look at the past replies but it will not let me view them.
Thanks,
John

So by default the #logo div that holds the logo area is set to be 40% of the header. (This is set on #logo in packages/theme_slate/themes/slate/main.css) And the #header-area div (the content area to the right in the header) is set to 60%. If you wanted it to go 100% of the header and be centered, remove float:left and width:40% from #logo in the main.css file and add text-align:center to it. Then, you'll need to remove or comment out the #header-area div from the header.php file located at packages/theme_slate/themes/slate/elements/header.php.
