Edit view and public view are very different.

Permalink Browser Info Environment
I am setting up a new site , and have run into a strange problem. I'm hoping someone can help me.

1. I have TWO AutoNav menus on a desktop when I view as a visitor (logged out). I can see the desktop navigation menu, and the mobile navigation and the same time.

2. The blocks in the sitewide footer are different in the public view vs. the edit view.

This is a clean install on a new Concrete 5.7.5.8 install.

I have turned off all caches and cleared them. I have emptied the cache on my browser, and tried it on Chrome, Safari and IE on Mac, Windows, iPhone and iPad, and on over two different networks.

For the menu I am using "Large drop-down mode" and in the Sitewide Responsive Navigation block I'm using "Supermint Horizontal" as I don't want the Hamburger menu on a mobile.

As for the footer, I have no idea whats going on. It looks like what I want in the edit view, but it's not the view displayed to visitors. I can't change what the visitors see because when I go back to the edt view, the blocks are different as per photos :(

It seems to be linked to the global footer setting.

I have removed all blocks from the footer area and cleared all styles and the problem persists, except now only one block is remaining (the first contact feature block ((footer-item col-md-3)).

If I disable footers, the mysterious block goes away, when I re-enable footers, the mysterious block comes back.

I was using four column footer. Switching to a one or two column footer makes the block go away, but anything with three or four blocks and it returns.

It is still not editable as it doesn't show up in the edit view ?!?!?!?

However, if I tun of global footers, it goes away. When I enable global footers it comes back.

Similar issue as below from my server company who logged in a can see what I see.

We have gone through your query and upon login into admin panel URLhttp://tasopen.org/index.php/login,... we can see the tabs like, Bryan watson workshoplessons, Welcome, The Venue Information and Seating, etc...

However, upon accessing the websitehttp://tasopen.org/ it doesn't show the above tabs on the website.

We can see that you have installed CMS Concrete5 on your website and it seems to be something related to theme/template. We would suggest you to get in touch with your web-developer on this or contact concrete5 documentation on this athttp://www.concrete5.org/.

Please be informed that since this is a third party application we do not offer support for the same. However, if it requires any changes to be done from server end, please let us know and we will be more than happy to make all the possible changes for you.

The problem may be related to an issue with saving changes to the theme settings.

I have discovered that when I toggle some of the settings, and save, the save is applied, but the toggle reverts back. So next time I go back in to settings and make a different change and save it, the previous change is reverted because the toggle has default back on the previous save, despite applying the change.

The temporary fix is that when I want to make a change to a setting in the theme, I have to make sure all the settings are the way I want, then press save.

These settings automatically toggle back to defaults:

Layout > "Display Wide Top Area"
Footer > "RAW HTML Credits"
Footer > "Disable Footer login links"
Footer > "Footer Column Layout"

I have resolved the issue with having two menus and the footers not updating correctly. Although I still have issues with the menu to work on mobile device, I don't think it's due to the same issue.

The resolution was to downgrade from PHP7 to PHP5.4.

But then if I restore 5.4 the Supermint2 wont work... Really getting annoyed at this . 5.4 was such a better version and no hassles for two years..!
