theme over-writing form?

Permalink Browser Info Environment
I am trying to use some advanced forms and having problems. Right now i am working with Formidable, and wrote to DeWebmakers about the page breaks and formulas not displaying correctly. Here is a copy/paste of my question the reply:
.............................................................
ME: " I am not sure, maybe this has something to do with htaccess, java or php issues? I can create the form just fine, but when i put it on the page it doesn't look right. i un-and reinstalled it but got the same results. cleared caches. same results. prior to the test uninstall i tried to submit the form anyway, but it just got stuck and finally kicked back a 500 internal server error. had to wait several minutes for the site to come back online. your thoughts would be really appreciated.

Hi,

This is your theme. The styles of the theme are overwriting the defaults of the form.
Can't help you there. You could try to contact the theme builder.

Best,

Corretje

Sorry it is not clear what you are trying to do here.

Could you provide a URL to a page with the issue on? That way we can take a look and see what is going on.

We do not have any experience with Formidable, so without seeing the issues we couldn't help.

Thanks

Looking at the page, the add-on developer has used the same class names in their markup as the foundation framework (which Venture is built on top of). That is why some unwanted styling is being picked up.

There is not going to be any quick fix solution for this I am afraid and not something we can help you with. You have several options; either remove repeated class names in the add-ons markup. Isolate the classes in the CSS of the theme and remove them. Or finally, consider using a different form add-on that does not use conflicting styles in this way.

Sorry it is not better news.

thank you very much for the details... now that it is clear what the problem is, i will check with another form add-ons and see if i can find one that won't repeat the issue here. thank you for providing something solid for me to consider here... even if it might be a little over my head to solve, i can at least look at some options.... and i really appreciate that very much!
