Bit underwhelming for the price

jshannon
I'm not happy giving 3 stars. I'd like to give 3.5, and I'd definitely give 4 if it were cheaper.

But based on the description, the screenshots, the demo, and the price, I was expecting something really solid and professional. Something I could give to the designer and wash my hands of dealing with template related PHP code. I was also hoping to have something that could be reused on multiple sites while also benefitting from upgrades (meaning I don't want to have to make any source changes). This is not that.

To wit:
1. The really cool looking "get in touch callout bar" in the demo is there whether it has any content or not. If you don't put any blocks in the (3) areas, you still get the grey background callout. This is similar for the 3-column orange headers (though it's less likely you'd leave those blank).

2. Many of the colors are customizable by the c5 "theme customizer" (see the screenshots). I was really looking forward to having the designer use this. Turns out that while many of the colors are customizable, others aren't. So we now have a blue scheme with dark-orange nav-bar hover state and a funny looking dark-orange border around the now-blue search icon button.

3. Little things, like the default UL discs being set "outside" of the content, or the fact that using tinymce in some of the boxes (such as the heading, or the 3-column titles) screws up the formatting. (It's because tinymce adds a <p>. Rather than having some special CSS rules to counteract this, I'm supposed to tell my editors to use the HTML block instead of the content block for those specific areas.)

Wanderer works well

Wanderer is an attractive theme that works well. My only major complaint is the CSS is very heavy (over 1000 lines!).
