Playing around with c5 locally on a Mac also running ubuntu as my server under parallels.
Hope to develop a site for our local University of the 3rd Age (I'm in the silver haired range of users!) using C5 which is one of the easiest to use CMS installs I've played with.
Previously developed php sites using MS sql server in my job. Much nicer on complete LAMP platform with mysql!
