canonical URLs conflict advice

Howdy folks,

I have the following issue, and wondering on the best way to solve it. I have set up a website for my work, that has a "profile" page with a number of child pages. The issue I have just discovered is with the canonical URL for this profile page - because there is already a "profile" page path associated with the user management, the canonical URL for my "profile" page is "profile1". Ideally I'd like it to be a nice and clean "profile" but I can't do this due to the built in C5 profile page.

What is the best way to solve this do you think? If I jumped into the database and changed the PagePaths entry for the C5 profile page to say "profile2", would that break anything?

Interested to hear your thoughts

You could also go into the sitemap in the dashboard and just delete the /profile pages. The only thing this would screw up is user profiles.

Some other "reserved" paths are:
/dashboard
/login

Basically anything in the concrete single pages directory.
