concrete 5.6.2.1 translation does not work

I installed 5.6.2.1 on ubuntu 12.04 64bit, it runs well.
I then downloaded it_LT po and mo files from https://github.com/concrete5/concrete5-translations/tree/master/core...
and followedhttp://www.concrete5.org/developers/translate/...

I logged out and choose it_LT as the default lang to login.
After all these I still get the English version.
Tried other mo/po files, same result.

What am I missing? I assume this is supposed to be a simple task, but I'm blocked, and starts to feel like the deep learning curve I had with drupal...

Thanks for your help.

Are you sure about the language code it_LT?
It seems to me that we have only
it_IT for Italian
lt_LT for Lithuanian (please note that the first letter is a lower case L).

Best regards,
Michele

I download the po, used poedit to make sure no empty strings(just copy the original one for now), and now it works. Seems like something to do with the mo file).
Thanks for the help!
