How can I enable advanced permissions in version 5.5.2.1? I do not see a checkbox for enable advanced permissions.

Try adding the following code to your config/site.php file 
define('PERMISSIONS_MODEL', 'advanced');

Is this a workaround because this version does not have that capability, or is there a glitch with this version? Also, once you enable this, you can't go back correct?
