A suggestion: what about an option to set the width for columns as an alternative to the number of columns

Permalink Browser Info Environment
Hi Jordan,

if one wants to style the div class="deluxe_image_gallery_image" (which is actually the wrapper for both thumbnail and title/description field) by giving it a border or a margin for example, one will inevitably run into problems with the inline style for the width (in %), rendered by the addon based on the defined number of columns via the backend form. Even if one adds just a small border to that div, the rendered percentage of width won't work anymore as desired, because the addon cannot take the additional widths of the css styles into account.
So, i think it would be great for a future version of the addon to have the option of alternatively enter a WIDTH (in pixel) for columns, instead of the NUMBER of columns. Of course this could only be an either-or option.

What do you think about that?

Cheers,
Michael

Hi Michael,
It is a good idea, but unfortunately I am not going to be able to implement it any time soon -- I just spent a lot of time fixing up a bunch of other bugs and issues that were a higher priority, and don't have the bandwidth to add anything else right now.
I appreciate the suggestion though as I do see how it would be useful -- just wish I had more hours in the day.
