Little dashes instead of Title

Permalink Browser Info Environment
I started developing this site 5 months ago, then the client decided to go on Sabbatical. Now she's back, and I have to pick up where I left off, only I can't remember quite all the changes I made to the Gallery (template, css, etc)
If someone has a moment and can take a look - everything worked fine 5 months ago. Now I don't have Titles anymore in the Fancybox gallery, just little dashes. All I need is a direction as to where I could look to solve the problem. Tried combing this and other forums to no avail...hoping this is a problem someone else has faced...
Thanks for any assistance!

Hi,
I'm currently traveling so I can't look at this until next week. Unfortunately if modifications were made to the code, I can't guarantee I'll be able to help. If you can ZIP up the entire deluxe_image_gallery folder inside your site's "packages" directory and post that here, that would help me have a better chance of solving the problem next week. Also, can you tell me if the dashes are appearing for new gallery blocks you add (or new edits you make to an existing gallery)? Or are the dashes only on old data that was saved earlier?

Thanks,
Jordan

Hi Arlene,
I am sorry for taking so long to respond (I haven't had any time until now). Someone else reported a similar problem recently and said they solved it by copying the db.xml file into the block override directory. Try copying /packages/deluxe_image_gallery/blocks/deluxe_image_gallery/db.xml to /blocks/deluxe_image_gallery/db.xml and see if that fixes anything.

The problem seems to be with the data, not the styles (so I don't think it's a fancybox JS issue). I am thinking maybe a bug in a recent core system update messed up the db.xml files when you override a block template.

What version of C5 are you using on this site? Was it upgraded from an older version?

Thanks,
Jordan

Hello Jordan

I tried your suggestion of placing db.xml in the folder
blocks/deluxe_image_gallery/db.xml

and on a whim
blocks/deluxe_image_gallery/templates/anja_gallery/db.xml

unfortunately, neither of these worked.

Yes, I did update to 5.6.2. I thought while the site is in development would be the right time to do this - I was right. Should I be addressing this problem to the concrete team?

I am slowly suspecting it is a problem with the update. Probably the best solution is a fresh install of latest C5 instead of update. Now all I have to do is find the time!

It could also be that I tweaked the block a step too far.

Hi Arlene,
I'm really sorry about the delay (again). I unfortunately don't have much time these days either. If you would like a refund for your purchase, I will gladly approve that. But I can't replicate the issue so I have no idea how to go about resolving it.

If you do want to go ahead with the refund, I think you need to open a support ticket via this addon's "Support" forum. Then there should be a button somewhere you click to ask for a refund. (See "Process" at the bottom of this page for instructions:http://www.concrete5.org/help/legal/refund-policy/... ).
