Image does not scale

Permalink Browser Info Environment
I have tried to create a block with an image in it, which should scale down if viewport is smaller (http://www.sds-clients.co.uk/index.php) but it doesn't, it only crops the image on the right hand side as the browsers window is decreased. I am having difficulty trying to get this aspect to work. Within the Image field I have set the Image Sizing to 'Resize Proportionally' and left the Max Width at 300px. This is held within a wrapper <div class="image"></div> which has CSS attached to it as fgollows:
.image {
width: 100%;
}

Any suggestions?

Can you provide a link to a page so I can see the markup? I'm unfortunately not good enough with CSS to know these kinds of things off the top of my head -- it takes some poking and prodding with the web inspector before I can figure them out :)

Hi Jordan,

I managed to fix the problem by giving the image in the CSS a width of 100%. It was one of those things that stares you in the face for so long you cannot see it until you return another day. Thanks for taking the time to respond to my problem.
