New to Designer blocks help with a rough idea of using this addon needed

I wish to create a sleek looking block that will have an image inset at the top left and the rest of the block will contain text.

How can I create this?

The approach I take is to make the HTML and CSS first, so you can get things looking how you want (with a sample image and dummy text).
Then once you have the markup in place, it becomes very easy to slice it up for the custom block.
