That could be a good idea. Can you give me a bit more context about where/why you'd use this restriction? I've never needed it before in my own work so I'd like to understand better about how it could be implemented based on how people would need it to work.

I imagine it would be used for headlines and body copy. I use the designer content block for creating panels that run alongside the content that will have a small amount of content and a link through to more information. Restricting the content allows you to ensure that is doesn't break the design and consistently looks good.

This of course may be difficult when restricting the WYSIWYG as it may cut off end tags.
