fade effect a bit glitchy on mobiles and tablets

I've noticed in my tests that the fade between images is not very smooth on ipads or mobiles, is this just how jquery fades on these devices? Or is it something that can be changed?

I am looking to update the package in a day or so to include smoother CSS based animation fallback for these devices.
