Columns

Permalink Browser Info Environment
Is there anyway to change the width of the columns? I used your plugin on another page and it worked beautifully. I am working on a second table though that is much larger (more columns and content) and I can't get it to fit on the whole page.

There's a scroll bar, but I'd rather not have that. I have some columns that don't have much data in them and I would like to make those columns narrower since I don't need all that extra space. Is there a way to resize/format columns?

Thanks!

Hi, Jency Williams
Easy Tables will add column classes to your table (like first_column, column1, column2, ..., last_column) to make styling easier and improve cross-browser compatibility. So the CSS code that you need to add to the page would be something like:
.column2 {
   width: 75px !important;
}

That should work. Just add similar CSS code to the page (you can use an HTML block if you feel confident coding HTML/CSS, otherwise I would suggest using Instant CSS:http://www.concrete5.org/marketplace/addons/instant-css/)...

Let us know if that worked.

Thank you, Manuel.

I just downloaded Instant CSS and I will give that a try and see if it works.

Best,

So it doesn't quite seem to work, at least not so far. I tried the CSS you gave me and I've been messing around with resizing other columns, but so far that just make the alignment of the column headers and the content in the columns askew.

I found a way to eliminate a column by using the wiki syntax (inserting a link into text) and I made the font size smaller, but it might just be too much content for the page.

Hi, Jency Williams.

So, do you need any more support?
