API updgrade available through Stripe

Permalink Browser Info Environment
Hello,
I see that there is an API upgrade available through Stripe (dated 10/16/2015). My current API version in use is 12/3/2013. Is there anything I need to know before upgrading to the latest API version (e.g., Stripe Add-on will no longer work, etc), or am I ok to upgrade to the latest version?

Howdy,

this should be fine to upgrade, there's actually not really any strong connection between the API version and the Stripe Add-on as it just uses its Checkout and Stripe.js libraries, which are directly linked to (so they are always up to date). It also uses the API in a very simple way.

It's only if you've built your own custom stuff that directly uses Stripe's API (especially for subscriptions) that you need to worry about what happens when API upgrades occur.

Hi Ryan,

Thank you very much for the quick response. I will give it a shot once I read through all their instructions. Thanks again!!
