I was building a site using the Best-Suite Core package and had everything set up as it needed to be permissions wise.  Problem is, users were able to edit pages through the edit button, when what I needed was for them to navigate through the dashboard to get to the editing interface of Best Suite.  Or, where users had no permissions to do anything the edit button and dropdown were still there with no purpose.

My idea was then inspired by Jordanlev's Hide Dashboard Dropdown package.

By default the block will hide the items from everyone except Super User, Administrators, and a user group named "Navigation Control" if you choose to create the group and implement it.

Place the block in a Global Area to control your entire site, or use it to control different areas of your site.  For instance, place it in your page type defaults to control just the blog section of your site.

This package has also been confirmed of use with Composer and plays hand in hand with the Blog Author Hub add-on as per this thread:
