Does anybody know how to correct the file attachment to the email?

I want the attachment to be seen in the email and not the dashboard, does anybody know how to fix this?

Kind Regards,
Jimmy

Hi Jimmy,

It's not so easy.
For this functionality you need to send HTML messages and C5 sends a text mail.

You could change this through the controller.
Take a look at the mail helper, there you can find the correct functions to send a HTML message in stead of a text message.

Let me know if you figure it out, maybe we can use it in our addon!

Greetzzzz,

Corretje

Please help me, as this is VERY confusing!! Your descriptions states, explicitly:

"You can add an attachment to the the notification mails."

Your response here indicates otherwise. NOR is there an explanation anywhere for how to configure this! Please help me, as this is an emergency!

Thanks,
Darren

If you updated the addon you can add an attachement.

Just update...

I ment people should be able to upload file attachments to the forms and send them like a regular email to the given (admin email)

I know what you mean, but that isn't possible in this addon.

The file added in the frontend is only available as a link in the mail.

Maybe we can change it, but not right now...

extended form is great, even essential.

but i also think that when possible having files sent straight to email would be very convenient. i would like to have it for our sites too.

i see that you can
Add attachement to mail
as an option. this is meant for send 1 file each time but perhaps it could be use to check if a file is being attached by the sender then it could send the newest file in the file manager.

this might be one way to accomplish this. can that be done?

thanks.

This is a very specific edit of the addon.
I think it would be possible to add the newest file.
