Zoom not aligning with crosshairs
Permalink Browser Info Environment
Hi,
I have been using this add-on for years and I love it. Recently, my client brought to my attention that the alignment was off – the zoomed image does not display what is in the window. This used to work fine and I don't know what would be causing this. I found that it also behaves this way when I look at the demos on your site here:http://c5extras.com/add-ons/jqzoom... (also, see attachment – screen print of what I see. )
Also, I attached an example of the issue on my client's site at :http://ravenefd.com/products/conkure/... .
Can you help me resolve this?
Thanks,
Steve

Hi
I just checked your site and it seems fine on m y end. What browser are you using? Also themes could cause inconsistency on the zoomed image. You can check it on a Plain Theme and see if this occurs if not most likely it's your custom theme that is causing the conflict.

I have several browsers I test on and none of them work, including:
On Mac:
Safari v8.0.6
Chrome v 43.0.2357.124
On PC - Win7:
IE v 11
Chrome v 43.0.2357.130 m
FF v 37.0.2
------------------------------------------------------
I recently brought this site to a mobile theme (using "Supermint" with modifications). I tested on my previous theme and the zoom feature works fine. So, you are correct, this is related to something conflicting in the new theme. But what?
Could it be a difference in the jquery version used? Does your Zoom routine require a specific jquery library?
Thanks,
Steve

I've seen the zoom alignment affected by css code in a theme which globally sets the "img" height and/or width. Generally a global scope in css is bad practice. That would be a starting point to fix it.

Thanks for the tip! Lead me right to the problem:
Found this in my screen.css - commented it out and the problem went away. And I haven't discovered "yet" any other images affected by this change. So, I'm good for now.
Thank again JZ / JB !!
