Ok Ive narrowed it down. User user profile field isnt remembering the settings Im putting in e.g. it doesnt remember that the user is a blog editor. Does anyone know why this might be?

hi,

are you using the blog author user select in the add blog dialog/dashboard page?

yeah I do this is a case of too many buttons. When you blick on Blog Editor it gives you the checkbox to select yes. What I missed and I think you probably are too is the fact that the little X over on the right turns to a edit symbol which you then need to click to commit the changes before pressing Update User. Spent ages trying to work out what was going on!
