Blog <vs> Pro Blog

Permalink Browser Info Environment
Hi
I am new to blogging in Concrete5 and I am bewildered about the functionality that these two add-ons (Blog by ScottC and Pro Blog by ChadStrat) support.
Here is what I would like to do (see attached image).

- Multiple blogs.
- Each blog page will have its owner, a person that only has access to his/her own blog. Each blog will be a sub page from the front page.
- On the front page I would like to have all blog posts from these blogs presented in cronological order, latest first (see image) (in the header all bloggers will have a small intro)

The question is: Does both of the add-ons, Blog and Pro Blog, support this?
Most grateful for live examples on web.

Note. Same post on blog discussion

hi there. ProBlog can handle this just fine. see my site here - http://stratisdesign.com

You would want to use advanced permissions for the restricted access. but this would be a matter of - install the app, remove the "blog section" attribute from the main "blog" page, and then add sub-sections under that and make sure that they are marked as "blog sections". then, start adding.

for permissions, simply use advanced permissions for each of those sub-sections.

Thanks
I see your site is divided into /design, /programming, /technology and /strategy. This together with permissions defined per blog page is a major part of the solution I am looking for :-)

Two follow-ups
1. Does the add-on support some kind of user profile image/info in more advanced way? ie: On the front page the user profile thumb should be displayed at each blog post header, but in each of the main blog sections this is not wanted as it would only be repetitive without meaning.

2. You mention advanced permissions for the restricted access. Do you mean extended permission handling in the Pro Blog add-on or in core concrete5? When using Pro Blog: Is concrete5´s built in blog function used to some extent or is Pro Blog more separate?

best regards
