I have installed ProBlog, but I don't see a way to enter comments? The comments section doesn't show up on the individual posts. Is it turned off by default? If so, how/where do I turn it on?

It may be possible you are using a theme that has the pb_post page_type but has not updated to the lates version of the file.
To verify, open up /packages/problog/page_types/pb_post.php and then the matching pb_post.php file in your theme.
My guess is the one in the theme does not have all the needed areas.

What do I look for in the files to know if I have the right version? Can I just copy the file from the package into my theme or with that mess everything up?
there are likely css classes or id's needed to match your theme.
You should see an obvious difference in defined areas for blocks.

I just created a new post and the comments are showing ( After I've added the comments block via pb_post).
All of my previous posts don't have comments but the new one does. Please tell me I don't have to go and redo all of my 40+ posts?

Nope! Lol. Just go back to the pb_post page_type defaults and click on the guestbook block and chose "push to children"
