Display post cateogory as a class.

I'm new (very new) to PHP. I am looking for a way add a class to each the content-sbBlog-wrap that displays the category for the post shown in that div.
My goal here is to show three featured posts that have a class based on the category they are in so I can use CSS to display a different icon depending on the post category. I have attached an image of the section I am attempting to recreate.
I am using the ProBlog List block with a duplicate of the simple custom template Simple as to keep the original intact. I have everything working except for this. Any ideas? Thanks!
