Feature request: control creation right via group membership
Permalink Browser Info Environment
I am using ProBlog with Advanced Permissions to control what content creators can see and do. At the moment I have to edit two objects: the blog_editor user attribute and the permissions of various pages.
e.g. to allow the user to see the "Blog Post" button in the dashboard toolbar, I need to edit the sub-page creation permissions; which is done using groups. However, the user also needs to have the blog_editor attribute.
Given that groups exist to control the permissions system, it would be far simpler if there was a "blogger" group that could replace the need for the "blog_editor" attribute.
This would have the added benefit on larger sites of considerably easing the admin burden. As it exists, every user with blogging rights needs to be edited individually.
The same applies to ProEvents, which I also use.
