I'm getting an SQL error when I try to visit the blog page

Permalink Browser Info Environment
Not sure if this problem is because I tried the WordPress C5 blog add on and then gave up on it and installed ProBlog.

I installed ProBlog without any problem.
Opened Page Types in dashboard and clicked on Defaults for ProBlog Post. The page looked good with the Category, Tags, etc. listed just like in the documentation.

I created a blog post and it looked great but I needed to create some Categories. I couldn't get the categories in, didn't quite understand the documentation but think I might understand it now.

At any rate, things were not working right so I figured the WP add and the ProBlog add on were having some kind of conflict so I deleted the blog pages and uninstalled both WP and ProBlog and then reinstalled ProBlog.

Things then got worse. I visited the DashBoard - page types - ProBlog Post - defaults. It looked okay. I went to my site map and saw that a blog page was already added for me. I guess that's part of the install?

I clicked on visit page in the site map and I didn't see the Categories, Tags, etc. Then I realized this was the old WP blog page not the ProBlog Post page. I deleted the page from the site, and from sitemap added the ProBlog Post page. By the way, when I clicked on Add Page, the WP "Blog Entry" page was also listed so even though I uninstalled the WP Blog Add on, this page still exists somewhere and seems to be the default since it was automatically added.

Anyway, when I clicked on Visit Page in the sitemap I got the SQL error that I attached here. I went back to dashboard, page types, ProBlog Post and when i clicked on defaults, I got the same SQL Error.

Just to be extra sure, I uninstalled ProBlog again, reinstalled and got the exact same scenario including the WP Blog page automatically installed.

I tried looking for the WP Blog Entry page through cpanel but couldn't find it. And I double checked that the WP add on folder was not still in the packages folder (or anywhere else I checked).

Any suggestions?

Thanks,
Steve

Hi Chadstrat,

Just following up, I previously sent you the login credentials for my website and ftp.

You had mentioned you were out sick so you were unable to check on it.

Any chance you'll be able to check on this in the next week or so?

Thanks,
Steve

Hi Alain,

Wish I could help you but my problem is still unresolved.

Seems like Chadstrat has dropped out of the picture. I know he was pretty sick previously but not sure what's up now.

A friend of mine said she'll take a look but she's more of a WordPress person and doesn't know anything about database stuff. So, I'm not very hopeful she'll find anything.

But, if she does I'll be sure to pass it along.

Good luck and please let me know if you find a solution.

Regards,
Steve

Thanks datacraftsteve, I just bought it and wondered is there any customer support apart from him ? Hope gets better. I have programmers I hire for this but don't want to spend money on something that is suppose to work. If you need someone I can refer you to the guy that made my whole site. He usually checks plugins for me but I decided to do it myself this time :(

Thanks for your reply
Take care

Hi Alain,

Bummer that this is the one you would try yourself. I've purchased several add ons and until this one and the WordPress Blog for C5 which I got about the same time (and have problems with too), have never had a problem. And, I'm not a website developer.

If your guy gets it fixed and my girl can't I would interested to see what your guy can do.

I think Chadstrat is it as far as support. He has good reviews so I don't think this is normal for him. I had a sad experience where a developer I hired got into a car wreck. It was a month before he got back to me and let me know it would be a few more months before he could do anything. He was an odesk.com developer and dropped out for an entire year; must have been injured really badly.

Have a great weekend and hope we hear from Chadstrat,
Steve

@ Themagicianinmind - have you placed a support ticket in the product support area? I do not see one for this user.

@ datacraftsteve - sadly, yes. I have been sick for 10 days. First with a stomach virus, and then a cold/flu right after. Blah!!!!! Now I am very behind. I still have in my notes to look at your site. By the way...this is above and beyond support. I'm not required to set up every customers site for them. So please be patient.

1) I logged in and did not see ProBlog installed or that you were connected to the community. How can I check something that is not there???
2) the FTP info you provided me goes to a blank directory. I need FTP to the root of your site so that I can troubleshoot any issues if there are any.

Hi Chadstrat,

Yes, you would not see Problog there because I cannot reinstall it.

Not sure if it was because C5 removed the ability to release it from the website. So, when I uninstalled it, I could not reinstall it as I mentioned in an earlier post.

Not sure how to deal with that but I think you may have to release it on your end or allow me to download the add on.

I think the reason you see a blank screen for the ftp is because I have not used it for anything. I can PM or google share you the cpanel credentials.

Thanks,
Steve

Chadstrat,

I am connected to the community. I'll have to see if I can find out why it looks like I'm not.

If website url is how you checked, I think the connection to the community is through my old websitehttp://www.dcraftinc.com

Sorry for the trouble and glad to hear you feeling better. And I am willing to pay for your going above and beyond what is required.

Thanks,
Steve

@Themagicianinmind

/home1/keepusin/public_html/updates/concrete5.6.2.1_updater/concrete/themes/designed_by_ola/elements/header.php)

This is an error with your theme. Not the addon.

Thanks both of you

ChadStrat I do not normally handle these things and understand that you were sick I got the flu myself :)

Thank you for having taken the time to loo at it I will tell the people that have created the theme. Is this something that can be fix?

I was able to see portions of it and hope that it does work.

In the event that they are not available do you provide that service or think you can fix it? I would be willing to pay for the service as maybe it would be faster if you did it since you invented the plugin.

Let me know and again thanks to both of you I am green in this field

I found a way to add you as team management for your plugin maybe that can help you help me

Hey Alain,

By any chance your theme is "Shop". That's what I'm using.

Thanks,
Steve

No mine was created by the people who created my site I think. Then again I am not sure maybe they got that theme and then modified it.

Figures, that would be too easy of an answer for me.
