PageList Archive - Shows/searches the entire site

Permalink Browser Info Environment
Hello, my problem starts with the blogSearch/Archive feature.
When i search using the Archive block it returns every post(including non-blogs) created on my site during that year/month.. What im looking for is an option that only displays the sub-pages of my blog.. The only work-around i found is to add "exclude from page list" attributes to the regular pages of my site, but that would also nullify the functionality of any "page_list" anywhere else on the site; NOT what we want.. FYI i already changed the block's filter to 'search by sitemap: beneath another page-> "blog"' without any effect. If anyone has any suggestions i thank you in advance...included are two screenshots: one of the search page and one of the Archive Block's Settings

Did you find a solution to this issue?

I have a similar problem with the ProBlog date archive block but on a site's blog landing page only (the top level page of the Blog section). I have set Filter By SiteMap to search 'beneath this page' and the results on the blogsearch page are for the entire site not the blog section only. Thanks!

Sounds like the issue I have - after setting up a Blog the Archive block showed an entry from Feb 2013 that linked to the search and returned no results. It's mildly irritating a detracts a bit from the Blog.
