Pro Blog download for older Concrete

Permalink Browser Info Environment
I hate the new Concrete Version...
I hate that i have to spend more time SCROLLING down to find things in the admin UI... and searching for others hidden. That said...

Do any of the Pro Blog Versions in the download archive support any OLDER Concrete Versions?

yes. however, the CMS is moving forward, and so will ProBlog. As one person, I can support two very different versions of the same app. so although a functional pre 5.5 version will always be available, it will not progress in features and enhancements. I encourage you to accept the change and trust that it will improve and dev's will release tools to aid in the things you don't care to much for.

I have placed the Pro Blog folder in the "Blocks" folder and nothing shows up in "Add Functionality"

So - i cannot find i to install, where else would i place it? Maybe in Packages?

Also - i tried to Clear Cache and i am getting an error:

"Clear Cache

If your site is displaying out-dated information, or behaving unexpectedly, it may help to clear your cache.
Fatal error: Call to a member function submit() on a non-object in E:\inetpub\AttevoCorp\updates\concrete5.5.1\concrete\single_pages\dashboard\system\optimization\clear_cache.php on line 8 "

thanks

Still nothing in Awaiting Installation - packages is actually were i first placed it - and nothing showed up so it was already there.

And just to clarify, it goes into root/packages/ and not root/concrete/packages - i mean that as a question sorry

I downloaded the newest Concrete right from the server.

The Pro Blog i placed into packages is 5.5

Have you ever seen the 'clear cache' error above?. it appears i will never be able to clear cache. and in that case will have to tear down my whole site and rebuild it in the newest C5?
