Problog Groups

Permalink Browser Info Environment
Hi Chad,

I have a question regarding the user groups: Blog Administrator, Blog Contributor, and Blog Moderator.

I just created a user in the "Blog Administrator" group, and when I login with this user it just redirects to the home page. I have no admin controls, and if I try to access the dashboard it just brings me to the login page again.

These groups looks great, but can you please tell me how to use them?

I'm hoping there is a way to give clients access to their blog, without giving them access to their entire website.

Thanks,

Hi Chad,

Are you able to provide information on these blog user groups? I really need to know if it's possible to grant client access to just the problog area, and not the rest of the CMS.

Thanks!

the user groups you are mentioning are for the "blog" addon. not ProBlog.

Although, yes, using advanced permissions, you can create as many groups as you like, and provide permissions to use only ProBlog in the dashboard. one note to this, is that you need to specify permission for what page types can be used to make posts in addition to providing dashboard access.

best

Chad
