Thumbnails not Saving

Permalink Browser Info Environment
When adding a new blog post, Selecting a Thumbnail and clicking on Save & Continue wipes the image. Other settings like the Title are saved.

Only when we reselect the thumbnail and click "Add Blog Post" is the thumbnail saved for the new blog post.

Any suggestions on how to save the thumbnail without publishing the post?

Thanks
