User Separation / Permission?

Permalink Browser Info Environment
Hey Chad,

I was wondering if different ProBlog Editors could have only access to blog sections that Admins define. Basically, I have 120 users and they want their own blogs, but if I make them their own sections, and make them Problog Editors, there is nothing restricting them from creating posts in other people's sections. Sure they can't approve them, and the main approver might be able to catch some of this, but not all of it. Have any thoughts on this?

Thanks,
Dave

Hi Dave,

We JUST implemented this actually in the last push.

Both page_types and blog sections now honor page permissions from your site map.

Ok I upgraded and tried it, but it looks like I might a little explanation on how you might set this up.

I have advanced permissions on this site, so I added a user to the ProBlog Editor group, and excluded them form creating sub pages under a different section. I logged in as this user and was able to create a page under the section I excluded from permission. Do I need to setup a per user permission to access the Pro Blog editing page and only give that person permission to add a sub page to their section?

Thanks for your advise on this.
